Our September Vancouver seminar was held in Fraser Room, Executive Airport Plaza Hotel,
Richmond, from 7pm to 9pm on Saturday, September 27, 2003. Although
the seminar took place at the same time as a major Chinese celebration and
fund-raising event in Vancouver, and on a popular date for weddings, many guests
choose to attend our seminar.
There were many new guests who were invited by friends who live as far as
Hong Kong and Ottawa. Among them were Chinese doctors.
One of the guests came even though she was handicapped and had to rely on a
walker to get around.
"Dr. Ng looks younger than last year" exclaimed several guests who
attended our Vancouver seminar in June 2002. Tammy Ng, representative of
our Vancouver Distribution Center, had the same observation the night
before. "Dr. Ng looks younger and more handsome year after
year! It's true!" said Tammy in total
agreement. Of course they also noticed that Alison's skin looks
lighter and lighter in color, younger and younger every year!
Tammy served as our Master of Ceremony.
The title of Dr. Ng's seminar was "Using Documentary Proofs to
Distinguish between Facts and Fiction in Health Messages." Each guest
received a large number of very useful handouts with journal references and
third-party documentation. The
audience listened with great interest although the speech lasted almost a hour
and a half non-stop! "The seminar was very informative and
helped me a lot." said one of the guests. After Dr. Ng's speech, there were many questions, and
Dr. Ng answered them one by one to their satisfaction. The questions asked by so many different guests were far more than the average
seminar, showing the great interest of the audience in the topics discussed by
Dr. Ng.
After the speech, there was a lucky draw. Two out of three prizes
were won by new guests. The first prize was won by Mr. Lo, a Chinese
doctor.
Free tea and coffee were served after the seminar. More guests stood in
line to ask more questions until 9:30pm.
